Bun Bu Ryo Do Martial Arts Club is an affiliate of the University of Southern Queensland Student Guild. Membership is open to USQ students, staff and the wider community. As the Japanese idiom implies, the Club recognises the complimentary path of the academy and martial arts. It offers a range of martial arts disciplines and supportive activities each instructed by appropriately qualified individuals. Each discipline manages its own external affiliations, though all are bound by a single organisational charter and members of the Club are strongly encouraged to cross train and explore the commonalities between disciplines.
In 2011 BBRD was a winner of a special Vice Chancellor’s commendation for services to the University and wider Toowoomba community.
